Our migration to the west coast feels like returning home. While anything pales in comparison to the bastion of techno that is Brooklyn, California has already proven itself a mecca for good music and a place brimming with potential for the underground. Now that we’ve settled into San Francisco, our eyes and ears are set on the first festival we’ll experience in our new home state: Symbiosis.
Symbiosis Gathering returns to Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale next month, bringing with it an atmosphere of creativity and a lineup so good that this intersection of art and music makes it one of the most unique festivals on the west coast. Claude VonStroke’s bringing the San Francisco love and a little of that American tech house spin with Justin Martin and Ardalan of the Ditybird crew. Pan-Pot has us covered with that well-needed Berlin techno. Bedouin meets us right in the middle, at that intersection of European and American techno and deep house we’ve come to love in Brooklyn. Seth Troxler and Lee Foss bring the house vibes, joined by Atish, Sabo, and Samo Sound Boy in what’s shaping up to be one of our most anticipated lineups of the years.
If you haven’t seen any of the incredible content from Symbiosis yet, feast your eyes on one of the most beautiful festivals on this side of the world:
