Relive Symbiosis ’15

Imagine a festival encompassed by one of the most serene lakes you’ve ever seen. Imagine the intersection of some of the most eccentric and interesting artists and attendees you’ve come across—from Burners to Berliners—with a community deeply rooted in expression. Imagine a lineup graced by the likes of Bob Moses, the Dirtybird crew, Nicolas Jaar, Damian Lazarus, and Four Tet.

You’re imagining yourself at Symbiosis Gathering.

This year was the 10th anniversary for the Californian festival, marking its hopefully-repeated return to the Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale. What made Symbiosis unique from other festivals, for us, was the tangible attitude towards sustainability all the while still knowing how to host one of the best parties we’ve ever experienced. It’s a spirit truly embodied by the sense of transformation in California. Where we found incredible techno and deep house we found equally incredible art and interactive experiences, from Symbiosis’ iconic teepees to its intellectually invigorating speeches. But we feel that what does Symbiosis the most justice is its imagery, brought to you by Jason Abraham:
